This is a comprehensive study of the basic principles of microbiology as it applies to the health field. A brief survey of the history of the science is given. Emphasis is placed on understanding the variety and differences of microbes and their relationship to humans. Laboratory study accompanies this and successful completion of these exercises is a partial requirement of the course.
