This course enables students to ask basic questions, understand basic instructions, and take part in a basic conversation on familiar subjects. Students will be able to understand short texts and instruction. Students will be able to carry out a conversation in a restaurant environment using the appropriate vocabulary. While the culture of German-speaking countries is not a major emphasis in the course, some attention is paid to cultural behavior patterns and social relationships. This course is equivalent to German I (3 credits) and German II (3 credits).
