The Human Services Certificate Program prepares students for direct service in human service agencies, with an opportunity for further studies leading to an advanced degree. All courses in this program are incorporated into the Associate of Science degree in Human Services. For individuals presently employed in human services, it provides educational opportunities for personal and professional development.

Many of the programs offered at NHCTC may be combined with the Human Services Certificate for a dual degree option. A State Police Criminal Check is the responsibility of students and may be required for fieldwork and/or employment upon request of an agency. A minimum of 96 hours will be completed for each fieldwork course.
