Join Dr. Leslie Henderson, Wednesday March 12th, 12-1 pm at the Charles P. Puksta Library for a presentation on Anabolic Steroid Abuse in Adolescence: Effects on the Brain and Behavior.
Dr. Leslie Henderson is the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Physiology & Neurobiology and of Biochemistry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Her laboratory focuses on understanding the impact of natural gonadal steroids, synthetic performance enhancing steroids and endocrine disrupting chemicals that can interact with steroid signaling pathways on the development and function of the central nervous system. A specific aim of her work has been to define the roles of sex and age on the actions of these compounds with respect to both neural function and its behavioral outcomes.
