New Medical Assistant program

Medical Assistants (MA) are critical members of healthcare teams working across many different medical settings. MA’s are flexible and perform a variety of clinical and administrative skills.

Starting in February 2023 RVCC will be offering a 12 week Medical Assistant Program.

Medical Assistants are in high demand. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (2020), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 23 percent from 2018 to 2028 – much faster than the average for all occupations.

The 12 week non-credit program at RVCC will require attending the Claremont Campus 2 days a week. The remainder of the program will be offered online. Students passing program will be eligible to sit for the NHA- CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Exam. Following the 12 week course, there will be an optional 3 week clinical practicum in an ambulatory setting.

Scholarships may be available.  Interested students should fill out this inquiry form so that we can keep you updated on the program. For more information, contact Lisa Gould, Medical Assistant Program Director 603-542-7744 X 5428 or email lgould@ccsnh.edu.
