Rural Health Careers WORC Scholarship

The Rural Health Careers (RHC) Program is a US Department of Labor (USDOL) grant-funded* program that is dedicated to supporting your career growth in healthcare.  This funding is intended to fully support certificate or degree programs for individuals in the identified pathways at RVCC, without incurring debt.  As such, selected recipients are eligible to receive up to the full amount of the program’s tuition and fees, after any grants or scholarships have been applied.  

Deadline for applications for this grant cycle is October 19th, 2025

This grant funded program is designed to support individuals to obtain a degree or certificate in one of the following programs at RVCC: 

LPN -Practical Nursing
RN – Registered Nursing
MA – Registered Medical Assistant
MLT – Medical Lab Technician
Radiologic Technology
Healthcare Applications
Respiratory Therapy
Physical Therapist Assistant
Occupational Therapy Assistant 

    • Applicants must live or work in the Northern Border Commission Region NBRC New Hampshire counties in the NBRC service area include Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Coos, Grafton, Merrimack, and Sullivan (Does NOT include Stafford, Hillsborough, Rockingham)  
    • Vermont counties in the NBRC Service Area include Addison, Bennington, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Rutland, Washington, Windham, Windsor counties. They must also be a new entrant to the workforce, incumbent worker advancing skills and education or a dislocated worker. 
    • If you are planning to start one of these programs, you can apply to this grant immediately.  Applications will be reviewed by the RVCC selection committee.
