River Valley Community College is a public, non-profit organization accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. You can find more information on the New England Commision of Higher Education.

Accreditation of an organization by the New England Commission of Higher Education indicates that the institution meets or exceeds the assessment criteria of institutional quality. This assessment is conducted though a peer review process. An accredited organization has the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through educational programs, and has the means to continue to do so for the foreseeable future. For information about River Valley Community College’s accreditation information, please see our 2019 self-study

Accreditation by the New England Commission of Higher Education is not partial but applies to the institution as a whole. As such, it is not a guarantee of every course or program offered, or the competence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance about the quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution. The College has also earned recognition and accreditation status by the following organizations:

    • Association of Collegiate Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP)
    • Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
    • National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
    • Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
    • Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
    • Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
