There are many opportunities for students to get involved at River Valley! Students can join clubs or student government, participate in events or create their own club.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) is a great way to get involved. The SGA supports the student body through student created programs that are designed to help students through college. Programs such as CPR, fitness and printing reimbursements are incentives for students to cross the stage at graduation with less debt.

Student Government also puts on events for students such as the End of Year Party, Halloween costume contests and other activities for students to win prizes and get involved!

Student Clubs

River Valley has a large group of clubs for students to join, and students can create their own club if they want. Clubs at River Valley Community College are a great way to become involved in the college community while making friendships that last a lifetime. Each academic program has a club that students can join to gain experience and get access to opportunities in their field.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the largest international honor society for two-year colleges recognizing and encouraging scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship in two-year college students. Invitations for membership are extended to associate degree students who have accumulated 12 credit hours here at RVCC, have achieved a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and have demonstrated leadership and service. The River Valley Community College chapter is Alpha Delta Chi.
