Online, Self-Paced, Free!

The Anatomy & Physiology I Prep Course is a free, self-paced course designed to prepare students for the rigor and content of Anatomy & Physiology I, a 4-credit lab science course.  This highly interactive prep course includes readings and videos that are integrated with active learning checkpoints throughout each of its 10 learning modules.  The estimated completion time is approximately 30 hours.

This non-credit course is open to all current and prospective RVCC students.  It may be used to satisfy the A&P I prerequisite, as long as a minimum cumulative score of 80% is earned for the prep course.  You can start the prep course at any time and work at your own pace.

Students who complete the prep course prior to taking A&P I lecture and lab are better prepared and more successful. The prep course will guide students through learning fundamental biology and chemistry topics that are applicable to the study of human bodies, as well as introducing anatomical terminology, human body system, and principles of homeostasis.

Please Note:  The A&P I Prep Course will not factor into your grade when you are enrolled in an A&P I course.  However, you will have gained important knowledge and gotten a jump start on the beginning chapters (and first exam) of your A&P I course.
